Sundara Kanda is the fifth book in the Ramayana. The original Sundara Kanda is in Sanskrit and was composed by Valmiki. Sundara Kanda is the chapter of the Ramayana which depicts the adventures of Hanuman and his selflessness, strength, and devotion to Rama are emphasized in the text. Hanuman was fondly called “Sundara” by his mother Anjani and Sage Valmiki chose this name over others as the Sundara Kanda is about Hanuman’s journey to Lanka.
The version used in this video is taken from the extremely popular the Ram Charit Manas written by Sri Tulsidas in early 16th century.
बल, बुद्धि, विद्या के दाता हनुमान जी की पूजा से से व्यक्ति जीवन के हर संकट से मुक्ति पा लेता है। सभी देवों में हनुमान जी को ही इस धरती पर जीवित देवों में माना गया है जो कि पौराणिक मान्यताओं के मुताबिक इस कलियुग में धरती पर विचरण करते हैं। माना जाता है कि सुंदरकांड के पाठ से हनुमानजी प्रसन्न होते हैं। इसी वजह से सुंदरकांड को हनुमानजी की सफलता के लिए याद किया जाता है। सुंदरकांड एकमात्र ऐसा अध्याय है जो श्रीराम के भक्त हनुमान की विजय का है। यह आत्मविश्वास और इच्छाशक्ति बढ़ाने वाला पाठ हैं। मंगलवार के दिन गोस्वामी तुलसीदासजी द्वारा रचित श्रीरामचरितमानस के सुंदरकांड का पाठ करने की परंपरा है। यह भी कहा जाता है कि चालीस सप्ताह तक लगातार जो व्यक्ति श्रद्धापूर्वक सुंदरकांड का पाठ करता है तो उसके सारे मनोरथ पूर्ण होते है। उसके जीवन के हर कष्ट दूर हो जाते हैं।
